Rheology of hail-debris flow and implications in flow mobility

چکیده
During 29-31 January 2021 (austral summer), an extreme storm event triggered catastrophic debris flows in central Chile (33-36°S). At small and precarious rural settlements the commune of Malloa Chile, where by a hailstorm. Hail-debris flows, with hail volume concentration near 10%-20%, caused 200 injured individuals 73 damaged houses. In this study, hail-debris modelled using FLO2D. software, calibrated against flow velocities flooded areas obtained from audio-visual records taken local inhabitants (using cell phones) high-accuracy post-event topography drone. Results suggest that content significantly reduces resistance compared to typical thus increasing velocity, run out. On other hand, damage infrastructure was more related materiality houses (precarious settlements) than severity.

Influence of rheology on debris-flow simulation
Systems of partial differential equations that include the momentum and the mass conservation equations are commonly used for the simulation of debris flow initiation, propagation and deposition both in field and in laboratory research. The numerical solution of the partial differential equations can be very complicated and consequently many approximations that neglect some of their terms have ...

flow in natural river bends is a complex and turbulent phenomenon which affects the scour and sedimentations and causes an irregular bed topography on the bed. for the reason, the flow hydralics and the parameters which affect the flow to be studied and understand. in this study the effect of bed and wall roughness using the software fluent discussed in a sharp 90-degree flume bend with 40.3cm ...
[Research progress in post-fire debris flow].
The occurrence of the secondary disasters of forest fire has significant impacts on the environment quality and human health and safety. Post-fire debris flow is one of the most hazardous secondary disasters of forest fire. To understand the occurrence conditions of post-fire debris flow and to master its occurrence situation are the critical elements in post-fire hazard assessment. From the vi...
